[2024/01/07 16:05] Alicia Frakture: The hair, the horns, the hooves, i mean feet
[2024/01/07 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: OK. So... the Underdark... is dark. It's full of evil creatures, none more evil than the dreaded drow themselves. Far from the surface world, it's as if the mighty battles up above have no real effect in the depths of the Underdark. But, as we may see... some powers reach far.
[2024/01/07 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: So here's a kitty pic, to provide bardic inspiration: 
[2024/01/07 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: And with that said, on this particular hour, Atilla is summoned to appear before the high priestess of this small outpost of the drow.
[2024/01/07 16:08] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Right! Drow are the scariest monsters underground, so it was a very good decision to link up with us as a servat
[2024/01/07 16:08] Alicia Frakture: Skamos is in her lab tinkering.. Like ya do. As far as she knows she is not expecting visitors
[2024/01/07 16:08] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: oooh
[2024/01/07 16:09] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Atilla makes sure he's in one of his nicer, least mud-stained outfits as he makes his way to the high priestess's meeting room.
[2024/01/07 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: The high priestess is before an altar, covered in the finest silks, head bowed in prayer before a rather ghastly statue of Lolth
[2024/01/07 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Skamos is indeed tinkering, for now.)
[2024/01/07 16:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Knowing better than to disrupt the worship of their vengeful and powerful deity, Atilla kneels as well, from a distance with his head bowed, allowing the priestess to address him first.
[2024/01/07 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: The priestess drones on for a bit, finally after some time, she steps back, and turns to Atilla. She tries not to sneer at the sight of him. "We have a mission for you, of great import."
[2024/01/07 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "You have my attention, high priestess, and my loyalty," he intones in response.
[2024/01/07 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You may be aware that a band of surface dwellers have come down to us. They say they bring the means to destroy our enemies, but so far they've taken much gold and many slaves we could've traded. Go, patrol near them, see if you can find out what it is they have. And take that demon with you, you can both make yourselves useful."
[2024/01/07 16:21] Alicia Frakture: Suddenly the sound of a small explosion and giggling can be heard
[2024/01/07 16:22] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Understood. I shall fetch Skamos and we will find out what these surfaceworlders have planned." He nods. "Praise to Lolth."
[2024/01/07 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: The priestess twitches a little at the sound of the explosion. She thinks to herself, "And perhaps both of you might get killed, Lolth be praised."
[2024/01/07 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: He nods, still kneeling, waiting to be formally dismissed. The pain of offending a mistress by leaving too early is not something he will forget any time soon.
[2024/01/07 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: The high priestess snaps, "Well, what are you waiting for? Go!"
[2024/01/07 16:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: He stands, pounds his chest in confirmation, and steps lively out of the temple, making his way straight for Skavos! Who he likes, partly because they're much closer in rank to each other. He'll knock on her front door, assuming it's still standing.
[2024/01/07 16:29] Alicia Frakture: Skamos is still busy working, cleaning some grit and smoke from her face. Hearing the knock."Come in. Watch for traps!"
[2024/01/07 16:30] Alicia Frakture: *There are no traps*
[2024/01/07 16:31] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: He opens the door, eyeing the floor suspiciously, particular the 'Welcome?' mat just inside the door. "Miss Skamos. We have just been assigned a quest of great import by the high priestess. It appears that a gang of surfaceworlders is attempting to import something and we need to find out exactly what they have planned."
[2024/01/07 16:33] Alicia Frakture: Skamos turns and begins packing a small bag with some gear. "Still with the Miss thing huh? Okay so any hints of what it might be?"
[2024/01/07 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Unclear. They've been taking gold and potential slaves but haven't giving the actual item. It is claimed they hold the 'means to destroy our enemies', but we have not seen it for ourselves that this is true. Are you ready to start the patrol?"
[2024/01/07 16:37] Alicia Frakture: She picks up a small metal ball smiles."Yep, we're ready to go."
[2024/01/07 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: As you both head towards the main entrance to the cavern complex your tribe live in, you come across a few drow guarding about a dozen rather sorry-looking dwaves. They clearly put up a big fight, but they got bested, and now here they are, in chains.
[2024/01/07 16:38] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Atilla heads out, leading Skamos to the various unlit tunnels. As he has darkvision, he makes no move to bring a light source.
[2024/01/07 16:40] Alicia Frakture: Skamos follows Looking at the Dwarves for a second, bending to look at them and waving bye to them before going further
[2024/01/07 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: Various dwarven curses are growlled, and then a few drow laughs. Spearbutts make a few smacking sounds.
[2024/01/07 16:42] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( oh, sorry, I think we simulposted there ))
[2024/01/07 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: And, it being past half past, I better get turned in, and tomorrow... you see what you see in the great rock-filled darkness!
